Production process

Production process of Natural Wood – firewood from the Netherlands

Natural wood is located in Rutten. Our sister company The Woodcutter is located at the same address and is our production location. The wood from which we make our firewood has the FSC quality mark® and almost all comes from sustainably managed Dutch forests. It therefore meets the requirements for sustainable combustion. With four professional splitting machines, we saw and split this wood into fire logs of 23 to 25 cm in length. We then sift the firewood twice to remove wood chips, bark and sawdust. As a result, the packaging contains more and better quality firewood. Speaking of packaging: as a wholesaler and intermediary, you can choose Natuurhout for loose in big bags, stacked on pallets and in small packaging as a net bag or plastic foil bag. With our semi-automatic packaging machine, we can deliver the firewood in any desired packaging and quantity.

Always guaranteed dry firewood

Natuurhout collects the screening waste to use as fuel for our drying room. We dry the wood naturally, but for the kiln-dried firewood we have our own drying room. Natural or kiln-dried firewood: Natuurhout can supply in bulk all year round, regardless of the demand and the humidity at that time. We dry firewood in net bags according to the customer's wishes, to a humidity to be determined together. For firewood in plastic foil bags, we reduce the humidity percentage to a maximum of 15%. For transport, our palletizer neatly places the net and foil bags on pallets. We also use the palletizer for stacked firewood.
As a supplier for wholesalers, Natuurhout can supply both combustion mix and packaging per type of wood. In addition, our assortment from kindling, firelighters, Swedish torches and barbecue wood chips. Are you looking for a supplier for an additional product made of wood? Tell us your idea and we are happy to think along with you, because at Natuurhout we like to go the extra mile for a fun challenge!
